I first discovered acupuncture in my early twenties, having suffered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for some years. After many months of hospital appointments and various therapies I was beginning to feel that I would never be well again. Then my mother in law took me to see an acupuncturist and after just a few treatments I began to feel better. From that point onwards I went from strength to strength; my recovery was quite remarkable. I knew then that one day I wanted to be able to practice this incredible form of medicine, but it was many years before I had the opportunity to study. I graduated from The Acupuncture Academy with a distinction in my Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture, a three year degree qualification accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. I was also Highly Commended for my clinical work. My training was extensive and covered all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the five element approach. This means that I will consider your main health problem, together with a holistic approach to you as an individual.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and adhere to the Council's Codes of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. British Acupuncture Council members are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority , a government body set up to regulate health and social care providers that is accountable to Parliament.
My clinic is licensed by Welwyn Hatfield Council and I hold full medical malpractice and public/products liability insurance cover.
